At the Community Building Office, about 200 people work to make Sigtuna municipality an attractive, vibrant, and safe place to live and work. We plan new residential and business areas. We design and build roads and utilities for water and sewage. We take care of parks and forests as well as schoolyards, preschool yards, and playgrounds. We work with traffic issues, parking supervision, waste management, and much more. We handle regulatory functions and exercise supervision and control, as well as issue permits in our areas. We invest in our employees through good resources for professional development and joint activities. Sigtuna municipality is an expanding municipality with extensive housing construction, many business establishments, and investments in public spaces.

The building permit unit currently employs 18 people. We handle building permits, preliminary decisions, notification matters, supervision matters, and housing adaptation grants. In this recruitment, we are looking for a cheerful and pleasant colleague who wants to join our team.

The workplace is located in Märsta, with convenient commuting distance from both Stockholm and Uppsala.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a lawyer/supervision officer in the building permit unit, you will work with supervision matters within the Planning and Building Act in a group with three other colleagues. The handling includes investigation, communication, and decision-making. You will draft service letters and present cases before the Building and Environmental Committee. You will also handle legal matters such as drafting opinions for the court and interpreting legal texts. The work involves many contacts with the municipality's citizens.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained lawyer or has a university degree in the community building sector. It is an advantage if you have a notary qualification or equivalent court experience, as well as experience working with PBL issues. A requirement is that you must speak and write Swedish fluently and hold a driver's license.
